Tony Sheldon
Advisor to the SPTF Secretariat
Tony Sheldon has been Advisor to the SPTF Secretariat since 2005. He is executive director of the program on social enterprise and a senior lecturer at the Yale University School of Management. He has worked with microfinance institutions in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe, primarily in the areas of financial management and business planning. He has also worked with several development finance networks and funders, including the Ford Foundation, the World Bank, Women’s World Banking, and the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP). His publications include “Paying It Forward in International Development” (Stanford Social Innovation Review), From Extreme Poverty to Sustainable Livelihoods (World Bank), and Business Planning and Financial Modeling for Microfinance Institutions (CGAP/World Bank). Mr. Sheldon has a master’s in public and private management from Yale University and bachelor’s degree from Princeton University.
