CONGRESO INTERNACIONAL ES-GIF

‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎
Cerise+SPTF is proud to collaborate with IDB’s Programa GIF to add two new pillars to GIF’s powerful tool for the evaluation and improvement of governance for responsible and inclusive financial service providers (FSPs). Through SPTF’s RIF Facility for Central America and the Caribbean, Cerise+SPTF is supporting the expansion of the GIF tool to include pillars on both social and environmental management, which will culminate in the launch of the ES GIF tool at this event in September. The new ES GIF tool is an important step forward for those financial institutions that want to understand deeply the requirements for strong corporate governance and how the new European ESG requirements affect their responsibilities towards their various stakeholders. In September, Programa GIF will train its existing cohort of certified consultants on the expanded ESGIF tool. In addition to this training, Programa GIF will host a Forum on cutting edge topics in the realm of social governance, including: the role of governance in climate change response, governance’s role in promoting SEPM, governance in the new digital age, and ESG requirements for international funders.
