Maxence Soulet

Environment & Agriculture Project Officer

Maxence Soulet is the Environment & Agriculture Project Officer for Cerise. His main responsibilities are to develop the e-learning module of the Environmental Pathway, to train and support financial institutions and microfinance networks in environmental performance management (Dimension 7 of the Universal Standards), and to develop impact measurement tools for agricultural projects.

Before joining Cerise, Maxence interned at Chamroeun Microfinance in Cambodia, working on their alignment to the SDGs.  He also interned at Inpulse in Belgium, where he worked on ESG impact measurement and assessment.

Maxence has an undergraduate degree from the European Microfinance Programme of the Free University of Brussels and holds a master’s degree in International Affairs and Development with a specialization in Sustainable Development from Paris-Dauphine – PSL University.  His master’s thesis involved research in the Philippines with ADA and the Microfinance Council of the Philippines (MCPI), working on the Green Inclusive and Climate Smart Finance project.  Maxence speaks French and English.
