2024 Annual Meeting Portal

Thank you for joining us in Manila!

We were delighted to see so many of you at our annual meeting in June. Co-hosted by Microfinance Council of the Philippines, the theme of the 2024 meeting was “Building Responsible Finance Ecosystems: A Summit on Responsible Finance in Action.”

This event — our biggest in-person gathering each year — is always a phenomenally energizing and inspirational experience. Thank you for all the knowledge, curiosity, and passion you brought to our discussions.

Meeting Location

The Manila Hotel
1 Rizal Park, Ermita, Manila, 0913 Metro
Manila, Philippines

After you arrive at The Manila Hotel, check in with our staff at the registration table next to Centennial Hall to receive your name badge and other conference materials. As you enter the hotel lobby, Centennial Hall is immediately to your right down the hall after you go through security.

After you arrive at The Manila Hotel, wait in the lobby for our staff to collect you and lead you to your field visit vehicle (bus or van). Please take note of the departure times! These field visits leave very early in the morning to avoid traffic. You can view the agendas for each field visit here.

❛❛Attending a Cerise+SPTF Annual Meeting means for me going back to the deepest motivation of what drives me to work in the financial inclusion space. It is a refreshing source of inspiration that energizes me and helps me to face the difficulties and disappointments that we inevitably face. The annual meeting is not only unique because of its outstanding content, but also because it gathers highly committed, noble and fundamentally good people. It is not difficult to make friends for life at the Cerise+SPTF meetings.❜❜
— Loïc De Cannière, Chairman of SPTF

Travel FAQs

Please visit the Office of Consular Affairs website to see if you will need a visa.  We recommend you apply for your visa well in advance of the meeting to avoid any delays.

To request an invitation letter from our host to support your visa application, please fill out this form.

Participants should fly into Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila, Philippines.

Yellow metered taxis are available at the airport and require cash. There is no Uber in the Philippines, but you can use Grab instead (download the app).

We recommend you stay at The Manila Hotel (the same hotel that is hosting our meeting).  The hotel is a 550-room, historic five-star hotel located along Manila Bay.

We have arranged a reduced rate of PHP 6,000 (~$105 USD) per night for a “Superior Deluxe, Single/Twin” room.  This price includes all taxes and service charges, plus a daily buffet breakfast and internet connection.

To book your room for the reduced rate, send an email to Adrian Salumbides in this format:

  • To:
    a.salumbides@themanilahotel.com
  • Subject line:
    Cerise+SPTF Annual Meeting.
  • Body of the email:
Include your name, check-in / check-out date, and room type (e.g. King or 2 single beds).

The hotel will then ask you to provide a credit card with expiration date. Once your room is booked, a confirmation number will be sent to you within 24 hours. Contact Adrian Salumbides if you do not receive it within the timeframe.

The dress code for the June 4-6th conference is business casual.  It’s going to be warm in the Philippines (but transitioning to the rainy season), and, as ever, our annual meeting is a task force meeting.  We’re all going to roll up our sleeves and do some work, so please dress for comfort!

The dress code for the June 7th field visits is casual. The Philippines is warm and currently entering rainy season, so wear comfortable clothes and shoes appropriate for the outdoors.  We also recommend bringing these items to the field visit:

  • Hat
  • Sunglasses
  • Umbrella
  • Sunscreen
  • Water bottle – in an effort to be eco-friendly, we will provide big water containers on the field visit vehicles that you can use to refill your water bottle.
  • Note: lunch will be provided, so there is no need to pack one.
