Nitin Madan

director of the Responsible Inclusive Finance Facility for Southeast Asia

Nitin Madan has worked for across South and South-East Asia on financial inclusion since the early 2000s. His experience spans assessments and certifications, operations, policy advocacy, project management, technical advisory/capacity building, and research in the areas of responsible inclusive finance; access to finance for micro, small, and medium enterprises; digital financial services, and small and medium enterprise policy.


As director of the Responsible Inclusive Finance Facility for Southeast Asia, Nitin is responsible for regional outreach, strategic direction, day-to-day management, identification of opportunities, and implementation of market-level responsible finance initiatives. He has and continues to work with a varied range of stakeholders including bilateral and multilateral agencies, country associations, development finance institutions, impact investors, policymakers, private sector organizations.


Nitin has a master’s in poverty and development from the Institute of Development Studies in the UK. He is based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
