Bonnie Brusky​

Deputy Director

Bonnie Brusky is Deputy Director at Cerise, in charge of coordinating operations, human resources management, and oversight of communications. Ms. Brusky began her career in microfinance in the late 1990s, and has worked with financial service providers around the globe, conducting assessments and providing technical assistance to improve social performance and client protection practices. Before joining Cerise in 2013, Ms. Brusky worked as a consultant to a range of organizations, including World Bank, Smart Campaign and the SEEP Network. She has conducted extensive research on client over-indebtedness and financial practices among low-income populations. Ms. Brusky holds a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and women’s studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s degree in development studies from the Université de Paris-Sorbonne. A seasoned professional with extensive field experience in technical assistance, training, evaluation and research, Ms. Brusky is trilingual in English, French and Portuguese.​
