Sébastien Duquet

PRESIDENT OF CERISE

Sébastien is Director – Head of DFI & Sovereign Business at Mirova. He pilots the development of Mirova private assets funds towards DFI, sovereign entities and foundations, in complement of the existing Mirova and Natixis team. Sebastien joined Mirova in 2022, following the acquisition of SunFunder, an organization where he was part of the management team. Before that, from 2018 to mid-2021, he was Chief Investment Officer, Deputy CEO of Symbiotics and Chairman of the board of the two Symbiotics Sicavs in Luxembourg, supervising the investment process, portfolio allocation and funds valuation of Symbiotics funds. From 2005 to 2009, Sebastien was CEO of PlaNet Finance, then he managed PlaNIS (2009-2016) that merged with responsAbility in 2010. Sébastien holds a diploma from the French Business School EDHEC (with a major in finance) and from the DESCF (Chartered Accountant). He is a teacher at Sciences PO Paris and EDHEC Business School.

Practical Dreamers

Cerise+SPTF are practical dreamers. Since our origins in the late 1990s-early 2000s (when inclusive finance was better known as microfinance), there has been steadily growing interest in social performance: in making sure that vulnerable low-income clients are not exploited, and that products and services help create better lives. Many organizations have published high-level principles and frameworks. Cerise+SPTF translate those aspirations into concrete, practical actions.
