EDOUARD SERS

Edouard Sers has been the Head of Risk, Compliance, and Impact at the Grameen Credit Agricole Foundation since 2019. He is committed to practical social and environmental performance management and has contributed to several SPTF Social Investor working groups, developing common standards and guidance for investors during the Covid-19 crisis (the Pledge to Protect MFIs and Their Clients) and the introduction of SFDR regulation (on EU Minimum Safeguards in 2022 and Outside-in ESG risks in 2023-24). He also contributed to the 2023 investor reporting tool for the Client Protection Joint Investor Statement and, in 2025, began leading a sub-working group on climate risks.

As an SPTF board member, Edouard provides insights on aligning SPTF’s work—particularly maintaining Universal Standards for SEPM—with social investors’ priorities and challenges. His experience with the Oxus network and the Grameen Credit Agricole Foundation’s field partners informs his perspectives.

Previously, from 2015 to 2017, Edouard led audit & risk functions for the OXUS Network, strengthening risk management across its subsidiaries in Central Asia and the DRC. From 2007 to 2014, he worked as a rating analyst and quality manager for Planet Rating, covering microfinance institutions in over 30 countries.

A graduate of E.M. Lyon, Edouard began his career as an external auditor in banking at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
