
LUCIE CHARRIER

Lucie Charrier is Project Manager in the Financial Systems Division of the French Development Agency (Agence Française de Développement – AFD) based in Paris. Lucie is in charge of the design and implementation of a portfolio of sustainable finance projects for public financial institutions (such as development banks, central banks, regulators, etc.) in the Caribbean region and Africa and is in charge of the sustainable finance thematic in the Financial Systems Division of AFD.
Lucie has more than 15 years of experience in financial inclusion and sustainable finance. Before joining AFD, Lucie was previously Senior Microfinance and Financial Inclusion Expert for the International Advisory Services Department of Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Country Manager Peru for Oikocredit and Senior Analyst at Planet Rating. Lucie has conducted more than 100 institutional, financial and social performance evaluations, due diligence and ratings, social audits, client protection principles certifications as well as investment and technical assistance projects in more than 30 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Central Asia. Before coming back to Paris in January 2024, Lucie was previously based during 10 years in Peru and 4 years in Senegal.
Lucie has worked on several projects with Cerise+SPTF over the past 10 years, was a member of the Steering Committee of the Responsible Inclusive Finance Facility for Central America and the Caribbean (RIFF-CAC) and is a Qualified Social Performance Auditor since December 2015.
Lucie holds a Master in Development and International Cooperation from the Sorbonne University (Paris, France) and a Master in Management from EDHEC Business School (Lille, France).
